Coalitions

YAASPA has a myriad of coalitions from youth coalitions led by student researchers to intergenerational coalitions.

Aurora Black
Consortium (ABC) Coalition

This coalition is rooted in trust building, healing centered engagement (Ginwright, 2017), capacity building, and community building for Black youth through elders.

ABC
Collective

The ABC Collective was birthed from the ABC Coalition and purposed to elevate the work of acquiring capital and cooperative economics. The ABC Collective recently won the bid to repurpose Paris elementary school. Check out the story here.

PEACE
Collective

PEACE Report.2021.Community and Quality Equity Report-English

The PEACE Collective is a BIPoC coalition purposed to address racial equity within education. The PEACE Collective released a community participatory action research report on quality education in Denver Public Schools. Check out the report here.

Youth Coalitions

YAASPA has youth led coalitions focused on abolitionism to inquiry on educators of color. We are excited about their continued ways of sharing their work and wisdom with the community. Our students researchers are paid and have grown within the organization beginning as an intern.
